The Universal Assembly of Yahweh Miami, Inc.
Located at 579 N.E. 149th Street North Miami, FL., approximately 6 miles from Miami Beach, stands a quaint building that serves as a place of worship for the followers of Yahweh. This body of worshipers was originally led by Elect Lady Phillip of Jamaica in 1981 upon her migration to the United States (U.S.). In the U.S. she ministered under the direction of Pastor Raymond Gibson of MD who subsequently licensed her to conduct sermons.
The spiritual and the intellectual atmosphere of Lady Phillip’s early life and her close relationship with Yahweh have a lasting effect upon her values and her view of humankind. She was empowered by the Holy Spirit to gather members who had migrated to Miami Florida. As a result, a congregation was formed and worship was initiated from her bedroom to garage; then it progressed from store front to store front. By the grace of Yahweh in 1996 she was able to acquire a building.
Elect Lady Phillip encountered many difficulties in her endeavors to spread the message and sacred name of Yahweh; however, she remained faithful in her beliefs that Yahshua is Conqueror. Lady Phillip succeeded despite numerous obstacles and as result of her love, dedication and caring spirit many individuals in Miami heard of the ministry and began to fellowship. Finally, with much hard work and effort in 1985 the faith was officially incorporated in the state of Florida as the Universal Assembly of Yahweh Miami Florida, Inc.
In fall of 1985, Elect Lady Phillip relinquished pastorship to Pastor Errol Garrick who was ordained on May 3, 1986. Pastor Garrick, a song writer and musician has a strong voice and vigor as he continues to spread the ministry of Yahweh every Sabbath morning. His ministry is threefold as he imparts his teachings through song, musical instrument and verbalization. Pastor Garrick is a strong follower of Yahweh who exemplifies integrity, character and spiritual leadership. Since 1991 his work has been documented through Sabbath school lessons in the Quarterly Ministry of which he is the author. Father Yahweh continues to favor him as the ministry continues to grow and flourish. In the Universal Assembly, the sacred name of Father Yahweh, and His son Yahshua continue to be uplifted and praised just as it was in the beginning in the high high hills of Trelawny.

The Kingston branch was headed by Pastor Wood and his spouse Evangelist Wood. It was under their tutelage that Lady Evelyn Phillips grew in Yahweh’s grace, and she continues to grow even to this day.
